形態特徵

Herbs to 1 m tall, covered with septate hairs; stem square, angles obtuse, puberulent.
Leaves petiolate; petioles flattened, puberulent, to 3 cm long; blades 3–10 cm long, 2–8 cm wide, incised or pinnatifid, ovate or broadly ovate, base cuneate, apex acute, both surfaces puberulent.
Inflorescences of compact axillary verticillate cymes, bracts 4–6 mm long, spine-like, minutely hairy. Flowers purple or white, sessile or nearly so; calyx tubular, minutely hairy, 5-toothed, 6–8 mm long, teeth nearly equal, triangular, awn-tipped; corolla tubular, 1–1.5 cm long, limb bilabiate, divided ca. 1/2 length of corolla, upper lip obovate, lower lip equal to upper lip in length, spreading, 3-lobed, central lobe very broadly ovate, emarginate; stamens 4, didynamous, anthers 2-celled, parallel; stigma bifid.
Nutlets trigonous, smooth or very minutely hairy, ca. 2.5 mm long, 1.5 mm wide.
Chromosome number 2n = 20.

台灣 : along the roadsides of the lowlands in Taiwan.
世界 : Japan, Korea, mainland China and the Ryukyus.
